Excessive force is unacceptable:

Article from Caree Harper Re: 1yr anniversary of CHP beating:

Pinnock Settlement:

* Previously homeless CHP beating survivor Marlene

   Pinnock will be provided for through a special needs       trust;

* CHP paid out one of their largest settlements: $1.5

   Million;

* And most notably, the traffic officer must terminate his

   employment by Monday, 12/1/14, as part of the

   Settlement Agreement.

DA  treatment of victim of excessive force:

After nearly 3 hours of treating Ms. Pinnock like a suspect

in the "interview of the victim" for charges against CHP

Officer Daniel Andrew, DA Jackie Lacey  failed to

bring criminal charges against the former traffic officer.

The interrogation/interview by three different D.A. employees was on October 9, 2014.  Ms. Lacey waited until December 2015 to blame Ms. Pinnock for the beating and declined to press charges.
